Solution For Chimney
Key points of installation:
Considering the particularity of chimney structure and the contamination might cause for obstruction lights by the top of chimney, usually for chimneys not exceeding 150m, obstruction lights should be placed at the location of 1.5~3m below the top, for chimneys exceeding 150m, obstruction lights should be placed at the location of 7m below the top.
Lamps layering: In vertical direction, low intensity obstruction light and medium intensity obstruction light type B shall be spaced equally with the spacing not exceeding 52m, medium intensity obstruction light type A and high intensity obstruction light shall be spaced equally with the spacing not exceeding 105m.
Obstruction lights on the same chimney shall flash simultaneously.
When H<45m, low intensity obstruction lights type B or medium intensity obstruction lights type B shall be located on the top.
When 45≤H<105m, medium intensity obstruction lights type B shall be located on the top, low intensity obstruction lights type B shall be located at intermediate levels.
When 105≤H<150m, medium intensity obstruction lights type A shall be located on the top, medium intensity obstruction lights type B shall be located at intermediate levels.
When H≥150m, high intensity obstruction lights type A shall be spaced at uniform intervals not exceeding 105m, medium intensity obstruction lights type B shall be located between the layers of high intensity obstruction lights.
The number of obstruction lights installed on each level depends on the outer diameter of the chimney, refer to the following recommended quantity:
D≤6m, each level shall be set 3 units of obstruction lights
6m<D<30m, each level shall be set 4 units of obstruction lights
D≥30m, each level shall be set 6 units of obstruction lights
